In this episode we sit with Ciarán Tyrrell, based in NYC, whose golden heart carries the call of the Irish diaspora back to Ériu. After the initiatory passing of his father, he was guided into sacred union with the Goddess of the land and, in time, with his beloved partner, Laura Murphy (Season 1). From the masculine perspective, Ciarán shares the grounding practices, ancient traditions, and vulnerable surrender that make true union possible, touching on banais ríghe, Imbas Forosnai, and the healing power of sacred sites.

For the first time, he offers a preview of his forthcoming poetry collection A Tree of Gold, reading two pieces—Ériu and Sink. His words, like the conversation itself, carry the pulse of something timeless, a remembrance of how love, lineage, and land weave us back into wholeness.

Who is Ciarán?

Ciarán Tyrrell is an Irish-born, NYC-based actor, poet, and musician who works in the ancient Irish poetic tradition of Imbas Forosnai. This was a Druidic practice of the filí (visionary poets), used to enter higher states of consciousness for wisdom, inspiration, and healing.

Following an initiatory experience at the passing of his father, renowned Irish singer Seán Tyrrell, in 2021, Ciarán has dedicated himself to this practice as a source of healing, creativity, and inspiration.

Born in County Kerry in 1977, Ciarán spent his early childhood in the Burren, County Clare, before moving to Massachusetts as a young boy. He later studied theatre and acting in Moscow, London, and at the National Theater Institute in Connecticut. In 1999, he moved to New York City, where his two children were born and where he has lived since. He is currently the Operations Director for the Blue Ribbon restaurant group.

Now he lives between NYC and Ireland, returning home often to be with his partner and to resource himself on the land that offers him his deepest connection.
